WHAT IS TAG LEAGUE?
Tag League is Australia’s home of fast, free-flowing, non-contact rugby league — where speed, footwork and flair do the talking. If you love the feel of Rugby League or OzTag, you’ll recognise the shape of the game straight away… but Tag League is quicker, cleaner and more action-packed, with constant chances to break the line and score.
Instead of tackles, defenders rip a Velcro tag from the ball carrier’s shorts — meaning the game stays safe, inclusive and high tempo, while still rewarding real skill: sharp passing, smart kicks, support play and explosive agility. With eight-a-side teams on smaller fields, every player is involved and every touch matters.
